The Discipleship Programme – First Initiation (Deeksha)

Tattva   Shakti   Vigyaan   Initiation

Pratham Koti Deeksha – The First Initiation

There comes a moment in the life of every spiritual student when one realizes the importance of commitment and dedication to the ‘chosen path’. A deeper intuition takes charge of life and makes one courageous to the core to be able to experiment with life-energies and be open to receive commands rather than just advices and so  much more… The Student-Teacher relationship is transformed and now Teacher becomes the Master and Student – The Disciple.

Discipleship Program – What is in it for me

If you are still asking this question it probably means you aren’t ready to receive ‘Initiation’. A bond between the teacher and student has to become trust centric before such a step is contemplated. The Tattva Shakti Vigyaan discipleship program marks the beginning of altogether different level of journey in spirituality. Having gone through this initiation process means you are now identifiable as the ‘sadhaka’ of an ancient Tantric lineage in the form of  ‘The Lodge of Masters’ – Gurumandala.

You receive a personal mantra from the ‘Lodge of Masters’ and with this mantra comes your connection and access to unbound support, guidance and protection of yours in your spiritual endeavours. It also means now onwards your genuine queries about ‘Sadhana’ and personal development shall taken up by Masters and appropriate shifts and course corrections shall be advised from time to time.

Every practitioner who receives ‘Initiation’ is monitored by the living and astral Masters in the lineage of Shiva for their spiritual conduct, challenges in Sadhana and obstacles in  growth. Upon receiving this ‘initiation’ you come a step closer  to ‘Shri Vidya – Krama Deeksha‘.

You are inducted in discipleship of Tantra Masters, in the pious lineage of adept Shri Hayagreevaananda ji by Ma Shakti and Acharya Agyaatadarshan Anand Nath.

Expected Conduct of the Disciple

There are no set rules for disciples at this stage however it would be unfair to say there are ‘No Rules’ because as a learner one has to strive to cultivate virtues conducive to one’s personal growth. Following pointers are just expectations except the last ones in REDs. These are indicative and open to your personal interpretation.  Receiving First Initiation ‘Pratham Koti Deeksha‘ is about:

  • Taking responsibility of your life and your actions.
  • Inform the Masters about any of other practices you are currently engaged in.
  • Initiation is the first formal step in the life of the practitioner to ‘Live’ in ‘Shakti Consciousness every moment. That you shall try to inculcate this attitude.
  • That you shall kindle your awareness and deepen it with time.
  • Update your progress/challenges at least every 3 months. That ensures Masters would be able to help you better.
  • Accept the authority of your Guru / the Master in the domain of your spiritual conduct.
  • Gurumandala requires  your commitment and dedication to the principles of particular Tantric lineage of your living Masters. Keep the practices and Mantra Secret.*
  • In case you wish to quit your Sadhana – You MUST inform the Gurus. This is needed to be able to suitably guide you through the proper ‘Tantric Process of Separation’**
  • DO NOT MISS TO READ THE FOOTNOTES

Who is Eligible

To become eligible for your Discipleship Program through First initiation you are expected to have gone through minimum of following courses –

  • Nadi-Shodhan
  • Panch-Tattva : Know Your Dominant Element
  • Secrets of Panch-Koshas and Chakras
  • The Tattvic Matrix

Another frequently asked question is I have already taken an initiation from some other Guru. Am I still eligible? The answer to this question is as following –

First scenario is for those who have received Proper Initiation*** in a lineage. If you have received proper Deeksha (Initiation) in a lineage and if your Guru is still in the body (alive) you should discuss your intent with him and ONLY with his permission you should come for this deeksha. If your Guru asks, you may be required to surrender his mantra (or go through the process of separation) as well.

In case your Guru is not in body you can humbly convey your intent to drop the practices he/she had given citing your own genuine reasons (lack of guidance, not able to progress etc.) and then you can proceed for Discipleship Program.

Second scenario is where your initiation is not proper (please read the footnotes for more information). In such situation it is purely your choice to go ahead and get into Discipleship program.

Can I continue my previous Practices

Spiritual practices are personalized regimes for the practitioners as decided by the Guru. If teacher feels it right you may be allowed to continue with your some/all the previous practices however you should keep in mind that mixing of many Spiritual practices from different Gurus generally doesn’t do any good (Ma Shakti & Acharya Agyaatadarshan Anand Nath don’t recommend that as well) therefore make up your mind to drop your current practices forehand because if your practices are found to be interfering in your Tantric path, you may be asked to stop practicing them.

How does it feel after Initiation

You don’t need fear for anything. Just to reassure you, there are thousands of Tattva Shakti Vigyaan practitioners across the globe. In case you want to speak with them over phone / internet just drop us a mail we shall be happy to connect you with anyone near you. Alternatively you can visit our YouTube channel and watch the glimpses of expressions of people who have received Initiation and are practicing regularly. In fact it is through regular practice and Sadhana the practitioners derive many beautiful experiences, wisdom and joy of transformation.

How will I receive my Initiation

The first initiation leading to Discipleship Program is done face to face. In unavoidable circumstances Masters may use the way of LIVE Transmission in case the disciple is unable to present himself/ herself physically before them. Generally the disciple is directed to perform certain rituals, chant prayers under the direct supervision of Ma Shakti or Acharya ji to assist in the process of initiation.

It should be noted that further higher initiations by Masters in Tattva Shakti Vigyaan and Krama are NOT available without making yourself physically present for the ceremony.

** NOTE – Only students who have completed requisite courses (refer eligibility section) need apply!

* Personal Mantras are to be kept secret to prevent the leakage of your own energies gathered in Spiritual Practices (Sadhana). There is whole lot of reasons about maintaining this secrecy and they are communicated to you during the ‘Initiation/Deeksha’.

** The Tantric process of separation is a mandatory ritual in many spiritual lineages. In the case of Tattva Shakti Vigyaan initiation also this is adopted. A dissenting practitioner may choose to leave the practices without undergoing this however that does not benefit the disciple in any way and he/she may find severe stagnation in his/her future spiritual endeavours.

*** If you have gotten formal ‘deeksha or initiation’ in a Spiritual Lineage that means you must be given the names of your all the Gurus (minimum of four generation – known as ‘Guru Pankti’ ( Guru, Param Guru, Paraatpara Guru & Paremeshthi Guru). As per spiritual traditions if you have not been given these names you are NOT gotten proper DEEKSHA. Many teachers just tell you that they are ultimately in the lineage of Shiva etc. that doesn’t qualify as ‘Guru-Pankti’. Some of the Teachers tend to believe that they have received initiation from many Gurus in their dream/meditations etc., technically that also does not qualify them as representative Acharya/Disciple in any lineage.

Swar Yoga – Ultimate Science of Success from Shiva

Ultimate Science of Success from Shiva!

The Swara Yoga – Workshop for Beginners

Success sutras from the First Yogi & Tantra Master – Lord Shiva  find elaborate mention in the Tantric discipline called ‘Swar Yog‘ or Swara Vigyaan. This is an ultimate practical science in the Tantric lineages for achieving greater success & siddhis in material life. What more can be said about it. It is said in the scriptures that “Swaras are the essence of ‘atman or consciousness’ itself. One who attains the knowledge of Swaras is capable of creating success on all fronts of life. The one who knows the essence of Swaras attains complete knowledge of Vedas and other scriptures.”

What is Swar Yoga

Breathing is an important aspect and function of the physical body. Breath carries the most vital aspect of life that is prana. Prana is the connection between mind, body and consciousness. Most of the people are aware of the long list of benefits Pranayama & various controlled breathing process offer for one’s physical and mental well-being. For any spiritual aspirant the breath is tool and a vehicle for attaining the ultimate goal—Self Realization.

Swar Yog moves beyond all this. It offers a deeper insight into the rhythms of breath and its Tattvic quality. Swar Yog utilizes the different cycles of the Elements (tattvas) in the body for mental and physical healing igniting perfect intuition needed for successful living. According to Swar Yog, the right side of the body has solar dominance while the left side has lunar dominance. When one breathes from a particular nostril, one is capable of absorbing certain type of psychic and Tattvic energies from the outer universe. Also, depending on the nostril one is breathing through different types of energies are generated within the body. All the mental and psychic faculties are greatly affected by the nasal dominance. A seasoned Swar Yogi uses his/her persistent state of awareness to use these Tattvic cycles for the benefit of self and others.

Benefits of Practicing Swar Yog

Swar Vigyaan is the science of creating all round success in life. Our lives are the sum-total of all the choices and decisions we made till now. We could change our lives only if we knew how to choose the best among the choices available.

The Master of Swar Vigyaan and Founder of The Shakti Multiversity, Ma Shakti Devpriya says “The best capacity endowed with the practitioners of Swara is wisdom of making right choices. A Swara Yog practitioner intuitively acts on the ‘best choice’ always. Therefore his/her life is free of obstacles and is always in synchronicity with the best divine has to offer.”

There are innumerable benefits of SwarYog practices

  • Increased Awareness
  • Able to heal instantly
  • Instant improvement in Brain Power and Memory
  • Balanced Pranic system
  • Increased Success and abundance
  • Capacity to Change your Luck
  • Access your hidden capacities
  • Change opportunities into success
  • Balanced mind and emotions
  • Change enemies into friends
  • Tune in to the Lunar and solar energies for best outcomes
  • Work according to the natural Swara cycles
  • Know the right time for everything you do

Is it Easy to Learn?

One must keep in mind that Swar Yog is the highest practice in the domain of breath-sciences. Although the principles of this science had been available freely but true knowledge of Swar Vigyaan had been limited to the circles of Masters only as it requires rigorous discipline and dedication from the practitioner to achieve perfection in the subject. A SwarYogi needs to be extremely disciplined and free from all negative influences.

In a nutshell, barring few the practices of Swara Vigyaan are easy to learn but mastering them may require lifetime of efforts – Of course a living Master is mandatory who will decide how much to give you, depending on your capacity*. Swar Yoga Basic Workshop is a good beginning for anyone who is willing to explore this fantastic science.

*Note – Few Swar Vigyaan practices have always been closely guarded, primarily because they deal with very subtle energies of the body and cosmos. Such techniques allow the practitioner to take complete control of anyone’s mind and being but if done wrongly, in any manner they may not only harm the practitioner but completely derail one’s spiritual development. It is therefore advised to every practitioner that he/she should engage ONLY in the specified practices.

The Tattvic Matrix – Workshop on Tantra’s Core Philosophy

The Tattvic Matrix

Tantric Practitioner’s Endeavors in 36 Tattvas

A 6-Hour knowledge based Series on Tantra for You! by Acharya Agyaatadarshan Anand Nath & Ma Shakti

******

From the perspective of a Spiritual practitioner, Tantra is the only discipline that can claim itself to be ‘the broadest canvas of spiritual practices’ in the world. Available number of major Tantra Scriptures are 64 and it is believed that there are 7 Crore mantras given out by Lord Shiva himself. But one must understand that all the tantric practices, styles, rituals and tools derive their significance from the principles of well known ancient Tantric philosophy – ‘Shaiva Siddhanta’This course ‘The Tattvic Matrix’ from Masters is a ‘must have’ catalyst agent in deepening and speeding up your spiritual practices.

A practitioner’s success primarily depends on three major factors – (a) Availability of Guru’s guidance in authentic practices (b) Sincere and disciplined engagement in the practices (c) supported with Proper understanding of the underlying Principles.  Understanding of working principles of the techniques boost the confidence and trust of the practitioner in the practices being undertaken.

This 6 Hour knowledge packed workshop by Masters caters to the inquisitiveness of a sincere Tantra practitioner of Tattva Shakti Vigyaan. In fact without this knowledge any modern mind would find it extremely difficult to accept and adopt the practices.

Content of the ‘Tattvic Matrix’ workshop –

The system of Tantric practices spring from the ancient eastern philosophy (darshan), Shaivism or Shaiva Siddhanta. Just like Samkhya darshan, Shaiva darshan also presents Tattvic model of creation but here is far more elaborate, comprehensive and definitely in unison with the modern scientific understanding of cosmic reality & consciousness. Whole lot of modern researches and advances in ‘Quantum Physics’ have validated the concepts of Kanchukas (Coverings / Limitations) as demonstrated in Shaiva Siddhanta.

In this workshop our beloved Masters Ma Shakti and Acharya Agyaatadarshan Anand Nath demystify the Shaiva model of cosmic reality from the perspective of a Tantra practitioner. The major concepts covered are –

  • Tattvic Matrix of ShivaThe 36 principles of Creation
  • Difference between Samkhya Model & Shaiva Model
  • Scientific Evidences in support of ‘MAYA
  • Extra Sensory Perceptions in the light of ‘Tattvic Matrix’
  • Tattvas, Panch-Mahabhutas and Gunas
  • Concept of Panchikaran clarified
  • Bhuta-Shuddhi and its relationship with capacity building
  • Indriya Shuddhi & easiest ways to achieve it – Role of Guru
  • Limitations of a Self-Realized Soul
  • Self-Realization & God-Realization
  • Various Stages of Self-Realization
  • Mantra and its relationship with Ishwara

Tantric Healing Programme – 5D Shakti Healing

5D-Shakti Healing

The Ancient Tantric Healing System!

Healing and health has been integral part of almost every Indian spiritual systems. Yoga and Tantra are the two such systems that India has given to the world. While Yoga’s efficacy to health is a proven fact the Ancient Tantric Healing systems are mostly in the veils. Tantra as a discipline has always been a guarded secret cult generally away from the reach of the masses. The only reason about such secrecy about Tantric processes has been owing to the fact that these techniques are extremely powerful & double edged therefore if they fell in wrong hands they could have been misused and abused.

It is purely unconditional love of the Lodge of Tantric Masters** that, Ma Shakti and Acharya Agyaatadarshan Anand Nath have been ordained to make the 5D-Shakti Healing available to the world now. 5D-Shakti Healing has purely tantric approach to health and healing – presenting specific solutions and precise methods to alleviate disease, pain and suffering from human life within the framework of ‘Law of Karma’. It will be fair to say that 5D-Shakti Healing is India’s gift to the Healing needs of the modern world.

Why 5D-Shakti Healing

Tantra recognizes that a human being does not operate only on the plane of this physical body. A human soul is experiencing the pleasures and pains of this worldly plane through its 5 different sheaths it is covered in – the Pancha koshas. It also understands that every human soul comes on this physical plane with the sole purpose of enjoying the fruits (whether sweet or bitter) of its ‘karmic’ baggage. Therefore if you are trying to reduce your bodily diseases and sufferings by physically treating it through ‘Therapies’ and ‘Medicines’ you are not attending to the root cause of it. Through such methods you can only ‘treat’ but can’t ‘heal’ yourself.

5D-Shakti Healing is a TOTAL Healing system that works on the root-cause of your sufferings hidden deeper in koshas e.g. Mind body, Prana body, Karma body etc. It restructures all the layers of your being through appropriate practical methods. It works on your entire being making you healthy, peaceful, joyous, kind, loving and generous – A truly ‘Living’ being!

What are the tools of 5-D Shakti Healing

Tantra is a system of harnessing energies and intentions through exploration of inner and outer nature. The universe is storehouse of infinite variations of energy or Shakti manifestations from plants, animals, tattvas, sounds, celestial bodies. There are herbs, there are energy processes, stones, celestial energies and innumerable hidden powers within human body.

5-D Shakti Healing uses Tattvic Energies, Gems, Herbs, Yantras, Symbols, Mandalas and Body & Breath processes. Apart from using just these tangible means a tantric healer is capable of channelizing the finer energies of higher realms for one’s good through the application of powerful Yantras, Mantras and sacred energy  processes within and outside human body.

Why Tantric Healing System is better than Yoga

Yoga uses only two tools – body and breath while Tantra makes use of multiple energy processes, herbs and also heavily works on harnessing divine tattvic energies. While Yoga is a step by step process Tantra is quite flexible and can also be used SOS.

The most important aspect of ‘Tantric healing’ is that it teaches the healer to differentiate between ‘Aadhi’, ‘Vyaadhi’ and ‘Upaadhi’ and adopt suitable technique for healing rather than just be hooked on to medicines and bodywork. More often than not the suffering or disease is caused by external unknown (for normal people) forces which can be dealt with only through psychic means. Such paranormal influences can be removed with the use of ‘Tantric Healing’. Therefore 5D-Shakti Healing is far more effective and deeper in its understanding of suffering and also eradicating the physical/mental/spiritual suffering which Yoga is not capable of.

Can I heal others with 5D-Shakti Healing

There are two learners’ level in 5-D Shakti Healing. First level of this programme is about ‘Tantric Healing Essentials’. After assimilating the first level the phase of learning-experimenting usually lasts from 6 months to 2 years (depending on your sincerity and regularity). During this period the Healer is not supposed to heal others. However once they become proficient in the ‘Tantric Energy processes’ and develop sound understanding of ‘Mantric Energy Processes’ they may choose to go for Second level of “5D-Shakti Healing’ after which they can definitely serve others.

Can I heal paranormal influences through 5D-Shakti Healing?

Yes! A good healer is one who is able to identify the influencing negative energies and entities but a powerful healer is one who has strength and capacity to deal with these dreaded energies and ward them off. 5-D Shakti Healing gives the practitioner such powers that he/she can handle virtually every negative influence of this planet. This capacity is earned with healer’s discipline, devotion to the nature’s benign energies and through the mastery of tantric processes. Although a beginner is not advised to engage in such cases for he/she may get harmed but as one progresses under the guidance of Masters one take up paranormal influences head on and knock them off too.

What is the duration of Course?

This is an 18 Hour intensive programme by Masters that is available in residential setting or LIVE Workshop*. Since it involves learning few techniques around breathwork and bodywork, the LIVE Workshops are conducted under the local supervision of The Shakti Multiversity teachers.

Who is eligible for ‘5D-Shakti Healing’*

This programme is available ONLY to the Tattva Shakti Vigyaan practitioners. One must be a Tattva Shakti Vigyaan practitioner oneself to learn this.  WHY?

The Gurumandala’s presence also ensures that the healer shall not be endangered in case he/she is dealing with paranormal causes.

WHAT MASTERS SAY ABOUT IT-

Acharya Agyaatadarshan Anand Nath

“I have seen that most of spiritual seekers begin their journey unplanned, experimenting with many different things. In their search of ‘the path’ and much before zeroing down to that chosen path almost 70-80% of them pass through various  attunements, chakra-opening / balancing sessions, blockage removals, energy-breath-processes, healing, blessing services etc. Such uncontrolled and random ‘spiritual’ interventions in their ‘Personal Pranic environment’ so distorts their body’s natural energy-dynamics; sometimes to the degrees of irreparability. It is a sad to see how such people then continue to struggle almost indefinitely to regain their sanity and balance.”

– Acharya Agyaatadarshan Anand Nath, Tantra Master & Founder The Shakti Multiversity

Maa Shakti Devpriya Anand Nath

“It is a fact that many spiritual enthusiasts who indulge in mindless experimentation in the spiritual endeavours suffer not only in their material world but also experience an unexplained block in their spiritual progress. Such a situation is definitely avoidable only if they knew how important it was to understand the deeper aspects of their own energetic aspects.”

– Ma Shakti, Tantra Master, Founder The Shakti Multiversity,  Author of ‘Tattva Shakti Vigyaan – Introducing Tantra to Modern Man’

Tantra- The path less travelled

tantraTantra is known as the most mysterious, intense and sensual practice arising from Indian Continent, the land with plentiful, lavish and deep rooted spiritual principles. A practice that just cannot be ignored as it presents the magic, excitement and bizarreness that a modern mind is probably seeking. The word Tantra rings many bells in the mind and one thing is for sure for anybody who aspires to walk the path, that this is a secret and should not be discussed about.  The reason for this basic fear arises from a question that was posed to me to many a times “You learning Tantra???, who is misguiding you?” It is a suggestion that there is something gravely wrong in the understanding about Tantra.

Tantra is the only practice that is guided by an all accepting principle. There is no thought, desire or practice that should be rejected. It is offering success on worldly and spiritual level to an exceptional degree. In India, Tantra is often seen as black magic, a practice done to control energies of person, place or situation especially for material gain. A Tantrick is not a person with a pleasant personality but, carries dark energies. In west, mostly Tantra is regarded as a practice that leads to self-realization through elaborate sexual practices. But behind this allure, Tantra is a practice that has its roots deep in profound spiritual teachings related to Yoga and Vedas. Tantra is a very vast science that has something to offer for everyone. Before embarking on the journey on Tantra, one should learn to discriminate between what is real and what is just a created fascination. Someone who has not walked the path usually has one of the two or both the misconception etched in mind one it is some form of occult practice and other that it is a spiritual practice with sexual orientation.

Tantra and occult practices.

“I want to marry this boy Ma, I have my whole faith on you, please help me get this boy” a girl said to me who recently approached with heart strong desire and faith that a Tantrika can change the positions of all stars for her and they will be together the next day. The question is does Tantra carry within it the wisdom for controlling and challenging the universal principles. Yes it does!

Practices like Istambhan (Paralyzing), Mohan (Attracting), Uchchatan (disturbing mental equilibrium), Vashikaran (Enslaving), Akarshan (attracting someone at a distant place), Jrambhan (changing behavior of someone), Vidweshan (creating opposition between two people), Maran (Killing), Pushti (increasing wealth) all are very much a part of Tantra. But they are not the core essence of Tantra. Many Tantricks do claim of power and siddhis that can turn the events in our favour. Such practices are not just about mantra siddhi but also need understanding and knowledge of gems, yantras, havans and even astrology. Although there are also few Tantricks who claim to have control over some yakshinis through whom they can outwit outer limitations and create favourable results.

Although all of this is a part of Tantra, but it does not comprehend all the aspects of Tantric tradition. This skewed image of Tantra further skews the image of Tantric Gurus, and thus they too feel wary in completely accepting Tantra as a spiritual path. Even a genuine Tantric Guru is seen as a magician and people do believe that he can grant all the wishes even if no such thing is ever professed by the guru. Every one wishes to make their life better and more comfortable and going to a Tantric Guru seems as an easy deal, as all the work has tblack magico be done by the guru and one can just sit back, relax and wait for the results.  As easy it seems to be, it is not even near to the whole truth. To gain a Siddhi or power to control certain universal energies it takes years of Sadhana. A person who enters into this realm eventually after hours of mantra jap and Sadhana, realizes the real cause of suffering and starts walking towards the real journey of liberation. This does not mean that Siddhis do not come, they do come, but their use is then done perspicaciously.

In today’s time there is lot of attraction towards gurus who can grant boons and many politicians and celebrities are in a search to employ tantrics who can help them win elections or destroy their enemies. A famous singer had once approached us, to get help in winning a court case regarding property issues with her brother-in-law. It is not a stray case, we many times get requests where people ask us to change their situations and promise to work on self-growth once it is done, or may even promise a hefty amount in its lee. The best we can do, is give a genuine practice and ask the person to do it with faith and wait for the grace of Gurumandala and Divine Goddess to fall upon them.
Labelling Tantra as black magic or any color of magic is a grave mistake one can do. Nevertheless, Tantra is a good tool for helping people, but not on a superficial level, but on a level where a person starts recognizing his/her true potential and starts the journey towards self. When approached with right intention Tantra gives you much more then fulfillment of your desires. The distinct awareness that is developed with Tantric practices helps you to gain your supreme goal of self-realization by being conscious and present in your very situations.

Tantra and Sex

In east, Tantra means magic and in west it means sex. There is sudden outburst of teachers proclaiming to be Tantrics who teach special sexual practices, sexual rituals and even sexual postures that are prerogative for ascension of Kundalini Shakti. Now again we ask the question are such sexually inclined practices part of Tantra? And the answer is again Yes!

tantra1Sex is an aspect of Tantra and if we understand more they are also a part of Hindu thought that is well represented by a hindu scripture based on sexual love that is “Kama Sutra”. But sexual practices are neither an essential part of Tantric studies nor are they mentioned in every Tantric text. Tantra is path that converts every ordinary daily activity like eating, sleeping and breathing into a sacred action, and in the same light sex has also seen as an activity that when entered into with awareness transforms the primal forces of life into higher forces of consciousness. The idea of sex being an integral part of Tantra arises from the study of Panch Makaras or five M’s as known in west. The Panch Makara are Madhya (Wine), Mansa (Meat), Matsya (Fish), Maithuna (sexual intercourse) and Mudra (parched grains). Maithuna is considered as an important aspect, which we can also understand by the following shloka:

मैथुनं परमतत्त्वं सृष्टि स्थित्यन्तकारणं |

मैथुनात् जायते सिद्धिब्रह्म्ज्ञानं सुदुर्लभम् ||

The shloka means: Maithun is the root of creation, preservation and destruction. It is regarded as a great principle in scriptures. It achieves all ends and confers the most difficult knowledge of Brahma. But in this particular shloka, Maithuna is referring to recitation of various attributes of God. There are various meanings attributed to PanchMakaras, some have a symbolic meaning to them and some have taken them literally. Various yogic practices like pranayama, khechri mudra and practice of maun (Silence) is also regarded as PanchMakara is some scriptures.

In Mahanirvana Tantra, there is direct reference to Panch Makara which reflects in following shlokas.

By drinking wine one acquires eight lordly powers and great emancipation. By taking meat one sees Narayana himself. By taking fish one sees Kali herself. By practicing Mudra one becomes like Vishnu in form. By Maithuna one becomes like me (Shiva). There is no doubt about it.

So, Tantra is a complex tradition with many facets. All these popular conceptions about Tantra only represent a small part of the vast wisdom and deep spiritual practices presented by Tantra. To learn Tantra and to walk on this path it is important to come out of this narrow understanding and embrace the broader scope that Tantra truly gifts to the modern man.

Worshiping Ma Chandraghanta the third Shakti of Navratri

ॐ देवी चन्द्रघण्टायै नमः॥

Chadraghanta1Every day of the auspicious nine days of Chaitra Navratri are dedicated to various forms of Ma Durga. Goddess Chandraghanta is worshiped on the third day of Navratri. She is also also known as Chandika.

“Chandra” means moon and “Ghanta” means bell. Ma Chandraghanta adorns a bell shaped moon on her head, thus the name. After the hard penance done by Ma Parvati, Lord Shiva promises to marry her. On an auspicious occasion, marriage procession of  Lord Shiva reaches palace of Himavaan. The procession is full of ghosts, goblins, gods, sages, aghoris and pretas. Lord Shiva himself is covered in ashes, wearing tiger skin as the only cloth and has huge snake around his neck. Seeing such a terrifying image, mother of Ma Parvati; Maina Devi faints due to fear. Ma Parvati understands that Lord Shiva should not feel insulted, so takes up the form of Chandraghanta. Ma Parvati then asks Lord Shiva to take up a handsome charming form, so that her parents can accept him as son-in-law. Lord Shiva takes up a form of a prince adorned with jewels. Shakti Ma Parvati’s marriage with Lord Shiva then commences.

Ma Chandraghanta has ten arms. She carries Trishul, Gada, Sword and Kamandalu in her four left hands and keeps the fifth left hand in Varada Mudra. She carries lotus flower, Arrow, Dhanush and Japa Mala in her four right hands and keeps the fifth right hand in Abhaya Mudra. Her complexion is golden and her vehicle is a tiger. Ma Chandraghanta is ever ready to fight demons who pester and harass humans.

The third day of Navratri (this year it is merged in second day itself creating a grand confluence of Shaktis) and worship of Ma Chandraghanta are of utmost importance. Sadhak can have many super natural experiences while worshiping Ma Chandraghanta. He/She may hear divine sounds and smell divine fragrances. A Sadhak should always be in protection and be aware. By the grace of Ma Chandraghanta all bad karmas and obstacles are dissolved. As her vehicle tiger, a Sadhak also become fearless and mighty. Many times a Sadhak may hear sound of bell during his Sadhana. The sound of bell wards off negativity from the environment. The sound of the bell of Ma Chandraghanta is so strong that demons die jut by hearing it. Although this swaroop of Ma is always ready to kill demons adorned with so many weapons but still when a Sadhak sees her feels peace and bliss within his being.

Ma Chandraghanta is Manipura Shakti. Manipura (Solar Plexus) Chakra is also the abode of Fire Element. So on the third day of Navratri, Tattva Shakti Sadhak and Sadhika should first make Sankalpam and Guru Vandana and proceed to Agni Tattva Sadhana. Sadhak  or Sadhika should always contemplate on the form of Ma Chandrghanta while doing his Sadhana during four navaratris for extra-benefits (not on other days). By doing this Sadhana, Sadhak becomes fearless and at the same time develops humility and amiability. A glow develops in the face, eyes and whole body of the Sadhak. Sadhak of Ma Chandraghanta develops a soft and soothing voice and who ever comes in contact with them feels peace and joy. A divine light develops within and around the body of the Sadhak.

या देवी सर्वभू‍तेषु माँ चन्द्रघण्टा रूपेण संस्थिता। नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नमः॥

I bow down at the lotus feet of my Guru and Goddess and pray. “May you receive all the divine grace from Goddess in this New Year.”

Worshiping Ma Brahmcharini on second day of Navratri

ॐ देवी ब्रह्मचारिण्यै नमः॥

02-Maa-Brahmacharini

On the second day of the nine auspicious days of Navratri is devoted to Goddess Ma Brahamcharini. Ma Brahmacharini is the epitome of sacrifice, tapasya and severe penance and the same gets reflected in her swaroopa.

Here the word “Brahma” means “penance” and “tapa” Brahmacharini means one who performs tapasya. She is also known as tapasyacharini. Ma Brahmacharini is depicted as beautiful maiden, she holds rosary in right hand and Kamandalu in her left hand. Rudraksha is her most adorned ornament. This comic form of Divine Goddess is illuminated, magnificent and tranquil.

The story of Ma Brahmacharini, shows us how Ma Parvati did a hard penance to gain love of Lord Shiva. In her last birth, Ma Brahmacharini was born as Sati, daughter of Daksha Prajapati and Prasuti. When Sati grew up, she had a natural fondness and love for Lord Shiva. Although Daksha was not very happy but still got Sati and Lord Shiva married. Daksha had felt a deep insult when Lord Shiva, did not touch feet of Daksha on an occasion. To get revenge, Daksha arranged a very big Yagna, in which he invited all gods and godesses but did not invite Lord Shiva and Sati. When Sati came to know about the Yagna, she made up her mind to go to the Yagna, against the wish of Lord Shiva. She said that she had all the right to go to her own house and did not need any invitation. When Sati reached the palace of Daksha, she was shocked and deeply hurt by continuous insult that Daksha inflicted for her and Lord Shiva. Sati was angered and burnt herself by her own yogagni. Sati was then born as Parvati to Himalaya and Maina.

Further, Parvati was guided by  Devrishi Narad to do penance to get Lord Shiva as her husband. Parvati born as princess, renounced all the comforts of the palace and moved into dense forests to do her penance to beget Lord Shiva as her husband. For one thousand years, she survived eating only roots, for three thousand years survived only on branches. For thousands of years she slept under open sky even in heavy rains and scorching sun. Then, for three thousand years she ate only belpatra leaves that had fallen on ground. then, she finally gave up eating and drinking water completely. As she had also left eating leaves, she was also known as “Aparna”

This hard penance took toll on her body, and her body was reduced to just a skeleton. Seeing this hard penance there was outcry in all the three lokas. All munis, rishis, siddhas and devtas appreciated her and asked Brahma to give her a boon. Lord Brahma then did Akashawani (celestial announcement)  “No one has ever done such hard penance like you. Only you are capable of doing it. This divine supernatural penance of yours is appreciated in every direction and loka. Your desire will come true. Chandramauli Lord Shiva will become your husband. Now you can stop your penance and move back to your palace” We see Ma Brahmacharini not as weak and frail but a young, unmarried woman who is ever in bliss because of Lord shiva residing in her heart.

Ma Brahmacharini rupa (swaroopa) is said to fulfill all desires of sadhaks and devoted disciples. A person gains immense willpower and strength to overcome any problem in life. A Sadhak/sadhika gains detachment, patience and ability to sacrifice. A Sadhak does not get disheartend by challenges coming in his/her Sadhana. Planet Mangal is governed by Ma Brahmacharini, so praying to her and offering her red things bring lots of fortune.

Ma Brahmacharini is Swadhisthana Shakti. Swadhisthana (Navel) Chakra is also the abode of Jala Tattva (Water Element). So on the second day of Navratri, Tattva Shakti Sadhak and Sadhika should first make Sankalpam and Guru Vandana and proceed to Jal Tattva Sadhana. Doing Jal Tattva Sadhana helps a Sadhak to get freedom from unwanted emotional bondage that block the path of spiritual growth and help a Sadhak flow smoothly in his/her Sadhana. Contemplating on Ma Brahmacharini while doing Jal Tattva Sadhana (especially and only during 4 navaratris) helps the Sadhak in renouncing unnecessary desires and attachments. Ma Brahacharini also helps Sadhaks in their fasting and protects them from having any ill effects on their physical health due to fasting in these nine days.

या देवी सर्वभू‍तेषु माँ ब्रह्मचारिणी रूपेण संस्थिता। नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नमः॥

I bow down at the lotus feet of my Guru and Goddess and pray. “May you receive all the divine grace from Goddess in this New Year.”

Blessings,

Are you sending the right symbols to your mind?

prachya prateek vigyaan

Symbols have always been a important part of our surroundings and being. Our culture, religion and sanskars are ingrained in us with the symbols. Thousands of symbols are affecting us on daily basis. Symbols are flowing in our life constantly. When we are surrounded by all wrong and negative symbols our life is affected in a negative way. It is of utmost importance that we send the right symbols to our mind.

Many times I am asked why do we need to understand symbols? Well, If you wish to have a better life on the worldly plane, it is important that you know and understand the rules of having it. Symbols being the language of universe work on a deeper unconscious level and become a very important means of communication with our deeper self and the universe. We can know more about our past, present and future by knowing about the symbols that are surrounding us. Prachya Prateek Vigyaan helps you to understand the symbols that are deeper in your mind and how are you interpreting them. Only by going through this process you can actually understand which symbols should you send to your mind. Healing symbol

Our life very strongly depends on the major seven aspects that are security, sexuality, power, healing, communication, intuition and divine connection. When all the seven aspects of our life are taken care of and in a balanced state, we start living a life filled with harmony and happiness. As you read through the seven aspects you realize that you may have achieved some of them and some aspects are still which you have not yet started working on. When a person starts to find meaning and happiness in life, it is always related to harmonizing of any one aspect of the important seven aspects of life. A very common confusion that people generally have is that what aspect of their life do they need to work on in the given present moment. The deceiving nature of mind does not let us focus on the present and it keeps swaying from past to future and vice versa. Thus we end up in confusion not realizing the importance and need of the present moment. Prachya Prateek Vigyaan gives you the tools to focus on the present and introduces you to symbols that harmonize with what you are now. Sending the right symbol to your mind can change the perspective of your life forever.
