5-Day Swara Yoga Retreat : by Ma Shakti

THE 5-DAY SWARA YOGA RETREAT

5-DAY   RESIDENTIAL  PROGRAMME    FOR       SWARA-YOGA  LEARNERS  BY  MA  SHAKTI   The   Ultimate  Secrets   of    Swara – Vigyaan

Swara-Yoga is an ultimate practical science in the Tantric lineages for achieving greater success & siddhis in material life. What more can be said about it. It is said in the scriptures that “Swaras are the essence of ‘atman or consciousness’ itself. The one who possesses the knowledge of Swaras is capable of creating success, attain great health, predict future events and even know about one’s destiny beyond the Golden Gate of Death.

With Swara Yoga Everyday is a ‘Present’ –

The Swar Vigyaan is a complete science of success working on the principles of aligning individual actions with the cosmic cycles of ‘Energy Principle’. Human Life on planet Earth is not an isolated event. The whole cosmic arrangement supports life on it. The sun, the moon and the 5-Great Elements regulate the activities on mental, psychical and spiritual levels. A seasoned Swar-Yoga practitioner is capable of identifying the most productive energy cycles and knows how to use them for benefit of others and self. The true SwarYogi is one who can turn any moment to an auspicious moment, any endeavour to a success,  mend relationships and even warn about the probable fallouts. With this unparallel intuitive knowledge which comes through persistent practice the Swara practitioner turns everyday to ‘the rewarding gift’ of cosmos.

Few things everyone should understand that Swara-Yoga is a science of breath and has nothing to do with the religion. Not a single mantra or deity salutation is to be done during the practices. The practices can be learnt by anyone who is willing to experiment with one’s body and breath. Most people feel this science to be an open source due to availability of books on the subject but that is not true. The knowledge presented in the every Tantra book has always been encrypted and Swara-Vigyaan is no exception.  All ancient systems were presented to able and dedicated disciples in Guru-Disciple system (the great Guru-Shishya parampara). With all the experience at my command and great humility I say that  without my Guru I would have not succeeded in it. There are various secret ‘Keys’ that are revealed to students only by able teachers upon seeing their capabilities. Without understanding those keys the true practical  knowledge of Swara Vigyaan can never be gained. Also you evolve in your practices as you continue your discipline with SwayYog. Therefore what you learn in these 5-days you must be ready to apply it because Swara Yoga is a lifelong learning. ” says Ma Shakti Devpriya.

Contents of 5-Day Swara-Yoga Retreat

The cursors to the contents of programme are as below –

Swara Yoga Retreat – Day 1

One the first morning of your retreat the day starts with mild Yoga practices. There are two sessions of classroom teachings scheduled during the day. The first session happens just after breakfast and the second session is taken later in the afternoon. The evenings will be an opportunity for you to experience and immerse your being in the unconditional love of maiden nature. Unforgettable!

Swara Yoga Retreat – Day 2

The day shall begin with learning Yogasanas and Neti practices. The first class-room session on Swar Vigyaan with Ma Shakti will be happening after the breakfast.

Your second day shall reveal many secrets about Swar Vigyaan practices over the two classroom sessions. The second classroom session will be conducted after lunch and karma-yoga session. As a participant in the retreat you shall be assigned some service work that provides an opportunity for karmic cleansing. The day shall end in star gazing for 1 hour.

Swara Yoga Retreat – Day 3

A day full of experiential learning. Swara Yoga is more practice oriented than any other stream. When you are trying to recognize the 5-Tattvas in your being it becomes really important for you to understand what is the best suited method for your personality type. You should be able to recognize rhythm and beauty of Tattvic currents and that doesn’t come without opening  to them.

This day shall deliver all the good experiences of morning and night light every other day but the experiences with Tattva Dharana will be extremely profound. This process once you know and experience becomes your guide for choosing the best way to connect and recognize the Tattvic energy in your being.

Swara Yoga Retreat – Day  4

Learning Swara-Yoga is one thing but what matters the most is its continuous practice and application. Many participants think this science to be a subject of intellect and memory but contrary to that Swar Vigyaan is a practice work. The classrooms and even practical sessions are there just to introduce you to the techniques, make you recognize different patterns, train you in identifying tattvas and many more things but real fun is in its application.

There’s hardly any activity of the day which is not connected with the swaras. Right from the day you get up to the time you go to the bed your success and failures are governed by how much you were able to pay attention to swaras and what measures did you take to orient/plan/execute your activities according to the best suited patterns.

Swara Vigyaan helps you in planning your day, estimate the outcome of an effort, predict the success of an endeavour, improve the quality of your interactions with others, help you resolve your conflicts effortlessly, help you decide your projects, improve your intuitive muscle, give you powers to communicate with others just using your mind, deepens your meditations, accelerate your spiritual growth and award you with the highest – Liberation from cycle of birth and death if you choose that to be. All the above and even much more is there to accomplish and master but remember that comes with applying Swara-Principles in life diligently and consistently. Correctly it has been stated ‘Practice makes the man perfect.”

Day four of your stay will be more practice and experience oriented. You will learn various mudras and take up practices pertaining to Vayu and Akasha Tattva as well. The day will be populated with variety of activities to keep you in high spirits and best of your moods.

Swara Yoga Retreat – Day 5

The retreat’s last day is refreshingly loaded with wisdom and path forward. Acharya Agyaatadarshan Anand Nath ji speaks about Swara’s connection and reference in spiritual practices.  He shall also guide you to many practicals & amazing swara-vigyaan applications.

The centre of attraction for all of you will be revelation of the secret practice of ‘Laghu Chhaya-Purush Upasana’ by Ma Shakti Devpriya ji. This particular practice has also been taught in its elaborate form in the Islamic Tantra traditions in another name (it is called ilm-e-hamzaad there). This is for those courageous and fearless students who wish to amaze themselves with their own super-human capabilities.

The day generally ends with a musically uplifting evening. Local artists showcase their talent to thrill and sway the group. We plan a visit to an Energetic place like temple, lake, mount or forest as well.

bliss

Revered Tantric Masters and propagator of Tattva Shakti Vigyaan, Acharya Agyaatadarshan Anand Nath and Ma Shakti offer the secret Panch Mahabhut Shakti Kriya that belongs to ancient Tantric lineage and is one of its kind.  Acharya ji shares that this is the only one Kriya that despite being extremely powerful can be given to everyone and through the regular practice of Panch Mahabhoot Shakti Kriya every person can gain the immense benefits. He says “Panch Mahabhuta Shakti Kriya takes the practitioner to a deep meditative state where healing and rejuvenation is accelerated five times as compared to what happens in deep dreamless sleep.”

bliss1

Our whole being resonates with the rhythm of the universe. This unique amazing rhythm of the universe is created by the play of five elements also known as Panch Mahabhuta. The Five Great elements are not only supporting us on the gross level, but they are the foundation and basis of who and what we are. Our every thought and action arises from the play of these five elements and further affects them too. Working with the five elements simply means tending to the roots.  Panch Mahabhuta Shakti Kriya is an ancient Tantric Kriya that purifies and balances the five elements.

Panchtattva

The Five Great elements are Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space. The Chakras in our body are the abode of the five elements. The Earth element (Prithvi) resides in Root Chakra (Muladhara). The Water element (Jal) resides in Sacral Chakra (Swadhisthana). The Fire element (Agni) resides in Solar Plexus (Manipura Chakra). The Air Element (Vayu) resides in Heart Chakra (Anahat) and Space element (Akasha) resides in Throat Chakra (Vishudh).

bliss3Health of the chakras determine our physical, mental and spiritual well being. Although the Chakras are a part of our energy body, but they are also connected to the various endocrine glands in the body. The endocrine glands release hormones directly into the blood influencing and controlling various aspects of growth, development and daily activities. When we start to work on the five elements with Panch Mahabhoot Shakti Kriya, the chakras are also cleansed and balanced. In turn they affect the related endocrine glands leading to better well being of the physical body. The physical body feels light and is completely de-stressed after practicing the Kriya.

bliss4

Almost all physical and mental disturbances are caused due to blocks in our energy bg-healthsystem. Our energy system is made up of Chakras and Nadis. If you feel sad, angry, irritated  and depressed most of the times, it is because of blocked energy channels leading to sluggish chakras. The breathing techniques done during Panch Mahabhoot Shakti kriya cleanse the nadi system and free you from negative emotions like anger, worry, anxiety and depression. Practicing the Kriya just once makes you feel happy and relaxed. Having a perfect emotional well being leads to more creative and prolific life.

bliss5

If you have been meditating for a long time or have just started to meditate, you must have certainly confronted the biggest hurdle that is of achieving a thoughtless state of mind. Every person who has practiced Panch Mahabhoot Shakti Kriya, have said to achieve that state. In exact words of a practitioner after practicing Kriya just once”First time in life I have felt so calm and focussed both at the same time while doing a practice. Although it was just for a few moments, but I know now what I am capable of” Achieving a state of thoughtlessness is dream of every meditator and by practicing Panch Mahabhoot Kriya you can surely achieve it.

bliss7

Revered Tantrika and Tattva Shakti Vigyaan propagator Ma Shakti says “If you really want to change things in your life do something about it. Through Panch Mahabhuta Shakti Kriya it is so possible only by giving few minutes daily to yourself. This Tantric Kriya starts re-wiring your life-energies by harnessing the power of Five great Elements. The positive impact of this restructuring becomes visible in all life situations, health, relationships in less than 3 months itself. Pancha Mahabhuta Shakti kriya** opens the further growth avenues for spiritual growth. ”

By giving just few minutes to Panch Mahabhoot Kriya daily you change your life forever. The effects are incredible and benefits are immense.

Assessing the Quality of Our Thoughts: A Simple-n-Silly Experiment

meditation

कलि कर एक पुनीत प्रतापा |मानस पुण्य होई नहीं पापा ||

Tulsidas astutely defines the character of Kali Yuga in Uttarkand in Ramcharitmanas. In this age of Kali, mental righteousness bears good while mental sins don’t bear evil. It is an amazing blessing of this yuga. Saints from Chaitanya to Prabhupada, Kabir to Raidas realized this and used nama-japa as the means to redeem themselves and many others.

Yet, if we dig a little deeper – we find that for all acts of impropriety (sins), the seeds are first sown in the mind. The seeds of war are already sown in the minds of men much before they fight the most ravaging wars on physical plane. Ma Devpriya writes in her book “Tattva Shakti Vigyaan”, “It thus becomes an endless circular activity; mind controls the physical body and then physical body controls the state of mind…” This manomaya kosha is so powerful that, if left to itself, can lead to ultimate ruin.

All the evil designs that ultimately lead to ruin does indeed start off as a ripple of thought in mind. We have a definite thought pattern which we carry as samskaras of previous lives. This makes it very imperative to assess the quality of one’s thoughts. The first step to improvement starts from knowing oneself intimately – and thereafter keeping a check on one’s destructive tendencies and reinforcing the constructive ones.

Here is a simple and practical experiment which might reveal a little about us:

Take a relatively routine and uneventful day to do this experiment. This is because on extraordinary days, the impressions of the day can substantially shift the normal thought process pattern of a human mind.

  • Sit down in any meditative asana with a piece of paper and pencil in front
  • Close your eyes and begin watching your thoughts for a brief period of time
  • As you watch these thoughts, stay aware of what you are thinking
  • Once your mind has raced through a few thoughts, open your eyes every few minutes and take notes of what you thought. This interval of taking notes depends upon how fast your mind is hopping one. Once you have 4-5 thoughts, write it down lest you forget them
  • After taking notes, close your eyes again and start watching your thoughts
  • Repeat the process unless you have a long list of thoughts
  • Over a period of 60 minutes of watching, you will have a string of thoughts written on paper
  • Next, get out of your meditative posture and start classifying these based on the quality. We are all aware of the three gunas – here are some broad observations:

o   Sattvik – Feelings of love, compassion, joy, piety, rendering someone help etc.

o   Rajasik – Thoughts of activity – workplace, assignments, pending work, approaching deadlines, home chores. Impulses to engage in sense pleasures etc.

o   Tamasik – Impulses to hurt or cause harm, anger, apathy, deceit etc.

o   Any moments of thoughtlessness

When we repeat this experiment a few times, we will have a deeper understanding of mind. Based on what our prominent thoughts are, our mind is either predominantly sattvik, rajasik or tamasik. Vivekananda said that what comes out of our mind during such meditative phases could be so vile that it might surprise us! Mind works in myriad ways and there are many demons of previous samskaras sitting to bounce back.

When we understand this mind, we will be able to control its vagaries more accurately. Awareness is the key!

Niraj Mohan is a seasoned Tattva Shakti Vigyaan practitioner under the guidance and initiation of our beloved Masters, Ma Shakti and Acharya Agyaatadarshan Anand Nath ji. A tale of four Gurus by Niraj – रज्जब तूने किया गज्जब बांधा सिर पर मोर…

|| Falling in love with Gurus is not easy ||
|| Falling in love with Gurus is not easy ||

A tale of four Gurus

Guru’s often beseech their disciples to have immense patience on the path of self realization. Faith in Guru and patience in practice eventually lead the to glorious dawn which every seeker strives towards.
It is ironical, however, that the same disciples test the patience of their masters in intended and unintended ways!

————————- 1 ———————————

The great saint Rajjab rung eloquent when he saw his disciple, who once resolved to be a celibate his entire life, sitting on a mare and about to proceed to meet her bride to be. The saint, quite exasperated, almost rushed to his disciple’s place and addressed him thus!
रज्जब तूने किया गज्जब बांधा सिर पर मोर|
आया था हरि भजन को किया नरक में ठौर||
It is said that the disciple immediately realised his destiny at these words of his master, flung himself down from the horse and fell on the lotus feet of his master, to remain in his communion forever. But the saint had already had a dramatic day!

—————————————– 2 —————————————–

Think of the immense consternation which Kabir would have faced when he left his mortal body. Kabir preached the unity of religions his entire life, only to find the Hindu and Muslim disciples squabbling over whether to bury or cremate his body! Legends say when the body was uncovered, there were just a few flowers, which needed neither burial nor cremation.

—————————————- 3 ——————————————

Sri Yukteshwar, the Guru of Yogananda Paramhansa would often tell him – “…you will be much kinder to your disciples… A teacher could not spread India’s message in the West without an ample fund of accommodative patience and forbearance”. Yogananda had his patience tested by his disciples in the West, when he slowly and patiently tried to bring his disciples, steeped in materialism, on the path of spirituality. He recalls, “I refuse to state the amount of truth I later came to find in Master’s words!”

———————————- 4 ————————————————

The last tale is the untold story of my Gurus, Ma Shakti Devpriya and Acharya Agyaatdarshan! In this age, deeply steeped in materialism, they patiently guide their disciples from ruin to glory. I have seen AD’s words becoming more strident for his disciples. From “do whatever little you can” to his latest exhortation of  “Udyamo Bhairavah – put forth all your enterprise to become Shiva” during his interpretation of Shiv Sutras, the paradigm he shifted for his disciples! Patiently waiting for their disciples to understand the wisdom in their words, they have stood by their disciples through the ordeals with the material and the spirit.
While I can only surmise how I might have tested their patience over the years, I bow to them in reverence and beseech them to be more direct, open and critical towards this wavering disciple of theirs!

Shivoham!

Worshiping Ma Siddhidatri on the last day of Navratri

 ॐ देवी सिद्धिदात्र्यै नमः॥

Goddess-Siddhidatri-

Ma Siddhidatri the ninth Shakti of Ma Durga is the one that gives all types of fruits of Sadhana. Sidhhi means supernatural powers or any special ability. Datri means giver, the one that awards it to the Sadhaks. Siddhi just not only mean to have some supernatural powers, although in a broad form we can say that there are eight siddhis. But developing a deep meditative state is also a Siddhi and surely the highest one. Being in complete control of ones thoughts and actions is also a Siddhi. The word “Siddhi” in Sanskrit means perfection, as Sadhak can gain perfection in anything he desires by worshiping Ma Sidhidatri.

Ma Siddhidatri is depicted as seated on a Kamal (Lotus) and her vahana (vehicle) is a lion. She has four hands. In upper right hand she holds a Chakra and in lower right hand holds a Gada. In her upper left hand she holds a Shakh and in lower left hand she holds a Lotus. The half bloomed lotus represents spiritual evolution. Ma Siddhidatri  is believed to provide energy and direction to planet Ketu, as she governs planet Ketu.

Ma Siddhidatri as mentioned is the giver of Siddhis. Even Lord Shiva got all his Siddhis when he worshiped and prayed to Ma Siddhidatri. She appeared from the left half of Lord Shiva and gave him all the Siddhis. As per the Brahmavaivart Purana there are 18 types of achievements which are Anima, Mahima, Garima, Ladhima, Prapti, Prakaamya, Ishitva,Vashitva, Sarvakaamaal, Saadhita, Sarvagynatva, DurShravana, Parkaayapraveshan, VakaSiddhi, Kalpavrushatva, Shrishti, Samharkaransaamarthya, Amaratva, Sarvanyayakatva, Bhavana and Siddhi. This form of Lord Shiva is known as Ardhanareeshwar. As Mother Siddhidaatri is the giver of supernatural abilities and powers she is worshiped by all including Yaksha, Asura, Gandharva and Devatas.

The sacred and energetic days of Navratri culminate in worshiping Ma Siddhidatri. This is the day when a Tattva Shakti Sadhak should do Panchtattva Sadhana by contemplating on the swaroop of Ma Siddhidatri and ask for forgiveness for any mistake that happened during the entire Sadhana. Those who follow ‘Durga Saptashati’ should recite ‘Kshama praarthanaa Stotram… ‘Aavaahnam na jaanaami.. Na jaanaami visarjanam…’ earnestly and sincerely seek forgiveness for any shortcomings in the procedures and errors caused due to ignorance.

A Sadhak can ask for anything he/she wishes for but it is always good to ask for what for whatever is best should happen as divine Mother, Ma knows what is the best for a Sadhak. When a Sadhak is blessed by Ma Siddhidatri he/she is able to see Brahma in every form and being. When a Sadhak does his/her Sadhana with focussed and joyful mind, Ma Siddhidatri blesses him/her in such a way that all his/her desires related to material realm are fulfilled and he/she feels there is nothing more to gain from this world and starts an ardent spiritual journey. It is also a important day to dwiteeya koti Sadhaks who should do their secret sadhana contemplating on the swaroop of Ma Siddhidatri and visualizing her sitting in the Anahat (Heart) Chakra. Worshiping Ma Siddhidatri marks successful completion of Navratri Sadhana. Glory of Nav Durga is infinite and they bless the humankind by being very generous and gracious.

या देवी सर्वभू‍तेषु माँ सिद्धिदात्री रूपेण संस्थिता। नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नमः॥

I bow down at the lotus feet of my Guru and Goddess to give me strength, wisdom and helping me generously  for successful and blissful completion of my Navratri Sadhana,  I pray to the divine supreme Goddess so that  you receive all the divine grace from Goddess in this New Year.

All Tattva Shakti Vigyaan practitioners are advised that after concluding day of Navratri the association of Goddess with Tattvas they should not do. Proceed with normal routine of sadhana – enjoy the fulfillment and your journey on the Road to Bliss.

– Blessings

Ma Shakti Devpriya Anand Nath
